Kannada- Queen of all the languages in the world! Kannada is as beautiful as its name. Kannada is one of the oldest languages that originated and is predominantly spoken in Karnataka, the Southern part of India. The Kannada language, also known as Kanarese, is the second oldest of the four major Dravidian languages. With more than 44 million Kannada speaking population, it has remarkable achievements in the world of literature.
With a beautiful history and culture, Kannada is one of the most unique languages. The language has an influence over many other languages in India and is also included in Schedule Eight of the Indian Constitution. Currently, Kannada is the eighth most spoken language in the country. The old Kannada language marked its existence in 450 CE, discovered in the small community of Halmidi. It evolved from southern medleys of Ashokan Brahmi Script. Three historical stages of the Kannada language are recognised:
